Schlagerboys' Songs Of 2007

It's been a FABULOUS year for schlager. As we wave goodbye to 2007, the Schlagerboys are hoping for more songs like these in 2008:

1. "Samba Sambero" - Anna Book

...for the singalonga chorus, the proper key change and the marracas.

2. "Vertigo" - Olivia Lewis

...for the fans, the gong, the proper key change and the tea towels.

3. "Live Forever" - Magnus Carlsson

...for the ahhs, the "hidden" key change and the hair.

4. "Vil du ha svar" - Jenny Jenssen

...for the double key change, the rose bit and for being fab in the make up chair interview.

5. "Rocket Ride" - Jannicke Abrahamsen

...for the sparkly boots, the fab hair and the proper key change

Happy New Year from the Schlagerboys!

Give Us A Proper Key Change!

BWO give us the first fab single of 2008! It's not as good as the introduction promises, but it's still poptastic. If their song for Melodifestivalen is like this the Schlagerboys will be happy.

But what's going on with the key change? That is not a proper key change and it should be rectified as soon as possible.

The Schlagerboys are preparing ourselves for a BWO win at Melodifestivalen 2008. They are the biggest names in the line up so far. This wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. The singer is reasonably cute, though we prefer botoxed-up divas with bed linen at Eurovision to bearded old blokes bouncing around behind keyboards..

Cruising With Christer...

It looks like Christer Sjögren knows his audience...

Just in time for Melodifestivalen 2008 he'll be taking bookings for his Autumn stage show at Tyrol at the Gröna Lund amusement park decked out in his Captain's uniform...

Always ready with styling och consulting advice, the Schlagerboys have decided that Christer should release a camp-tastic cover of The Village People's "In The Navy" to coincide with his September show.

If he wants extras to lead the dance routine he only has to call. How fabulous!

Ani for Ukraine!

Amidst all the excitement of meeting Nanne and wrapping all those schlager CDs and putting them under the Christmas tree, the Schlagerboys almost didn't notice that Ukraine has announced that they will be represented by Ani Lorak in Belgrade...

Ani wears big popstar sunglasses, great big floppy hats and fabulous shoes...
But this time of year in Kyiv, she has to wrap up a bit warmer....

But that's OK because hopefully her song might be a bit like this...

Fab pigtails and flowery earmuffs by the way Ani...

News From Norway!

NRK have announced some more acts for Melodi Grand Prix 2008... and still no sign of a Jenny Jenssen comeback!

The Schlagerboys are trying very hard to get excited about Norway, but it isn't helping that two of the songs announced today will be written by different members of Wigwam... and one of them will be sung by Crash, the unwashed boyband who very nearly went to Helsinki last year.... Oh dear...

Still, it looks like there's a mid-90s electropop Norwegian Pet Shop Boys in the Kongsvinger semi-final.... Here's Zuma...

Maybe NRK are saving the schlager for the last semi-final, with the artists to be announced on 4th January...

Schlagertastic Christmas!

Happy Christmas from the Schlagerboys!

And here's Nicole giving it a bit festive singalong....

...but where's the oversized white guitar?

Happy, Catchy & Wonderful!

The Schlagerboys were very excited when the rumours started of who would be in Melodifestivalen 2008... and even more excited when some of the rumours came true! Our favourite Swedish girlband (well, second favourite after Hanson, Carson and Malmkvist...) are going to be in the Linköping heat! Hurrah! So give a big schlager welcome to Frida, Emma and Emilie from Caracola!

Schlagerboys: Hi Caracola! We first saw you a few years ago performing in the Globen Shopping Centre while we were waiting in a queue full of gay men and 10-year old girls for Kikki Danielsson to sing copies of "Idag Och Imorgon". If only we’d said "Hello!" then! The Schlagerboys love shopping so we'll start off with the most important question: what’s your favourite shop in Stockholm? We prefer Åhléns with the fabulous handbag section.

Caracola: We absolutely love H&M! They have stylish clothes for little money and they follow trends fast. Of course it's not fun to have all your clothes from the same shop and if you choose H&M you will always see lots of people wearing the same outfit. We think it's best to do a mix! A mix of new and old, cheap and expensive and so on. But our favourite shop is definitely H&M.

SBs: It's been announced you're in Melodifestivalen 2008 so what’s your song, "Smiling In Love" like? Is it completely poptastic, like your album?

Caracola: Of course it's poptastic!!! The sound will be exactly like our other songs, it's definitely a Caracola-song. Happy, catchy, and wonderful!!

SBs: Hurrah! And will the song have a key change? We’re assuming that it will as all schlager has to have a key change!

Caracola: Yes, although we can't say too much we can reveal it will be easy to sing a long in the refrain!

SBs: Just how the Schlagerboys like it! Have you been working on a fabulous dance routine with big, glittery dresses and wind machines?

Caracola: We've just been starting to practice with our choreographer, and it will be a routine that of course contains dancing. but not too much. We don't want to take energy from the singing but we will not disappoint you!

SBs: Can you tell us what your performance will be like?

Caracola: Just like the song sounds like Caracola the performance will breathe Caracola. We want to create a picture so that people can recognize our performance and say that the performance lookes like a Caracola-performance.

SBs: What did you think of The Ark? Did they deserve to come about 59th in Helsinki?

Caracola: We absolutely thought that they deserved better. We still love the song, the performance and The Ark. They are a fantastic group, and we thought they would do better in the Eurovision.

SBs: Quite frankly Anna Book should have won Melodifestivalen 2008! What do you think?

Caracola: Anna Book had a very catchy song and she is a very good singer. She totally deserved to be in the final, but in the final we supported The Ark and Måns Zelmerlöv.

SBs: Boo! So who is your schlager hero?

Caracola: Our schlager hero is definitely Carola. She's such a great singer and performer. We love her!

SBs: We love her too! Apart from when she's talking about God, obviously... Has anybody given you any schlager advice?

Caracola: So far we've just had some advice from our loved ones and people we are working with. The most important is to enjoy the competition and really have fun while we're there. And we promise you, we will!!

SBs: Do you have a message for the readers of Schlagerblog?

Caracola: We hope you enjoy the competition and of course our song and performance. Hope to see you all soon. Lots of love, Caracola!

Good luck Caracola and we'll see you at the Melodifestivalen final in March!

Never Stop!

Looks like Afrodite made a comeback this week with a performance at Café Opera in Stockholm....

How rude of Gladys not to mention it to us when we accosted her in the loos of Naglo Bar at the weekend...

Merry Christmas, Jenny!

Norwegian TV have announced the artists for the first MGP semi-final to take place in Stavanger...

The Schlagerboys are more excited that our Jenny Jenssen Greatest Hits CD with bonus DVD arrived in the post yesterday! Hurrah!

And it looks like Jenny's having a fab time at Christmas....

...and even gets to perform on stage with dancing Christmas crackers...

Merry Christmas, Jenny! We're hoping Santa's got an entry to MGP 2008 in his sack for you...

Lord Thomas is Back, Back! BACK!

Belgian TV have announced the songs, singers and song-writers for Eurosong 2008....

...and Lord Thomas of G:Son has a song in the final 28!

It's called "Addicted To You" and is co-written with the same people who he wrote "Invincible" with, Bobby Ljunggren and Henrik Wikström!

OH! MY! GOD!

The Schlagerboys have just had an schlager orgasm...

Going Wild With Nanne!

Things we loved about "Nanne: Vild":

- The opening. A huge screen covered the stage and a brief film played of Nanne running around and generally being manic. She opened a window in the film and poked her head out, and you suddenly realised it was no longer film you were watching, but Nanne herself singing the introduction to the first song "Lyckos Dig". The screen parted and Nanne stepped out. It was fabulous! The screen was used to great effect throughout in the first half, opening and closing, moving up and down, providing holes for Nanne to jump in to and disappear, and then to jump out of somewhere else.

- The second song "Jag måste kyssa dig" introduced the four dancers, who threw themselves around the stage for the next hour and a half. The boys were really buff. There was no climbing frame for this song but two poles did come down from the rafters for the dancers to twirl around.

- "Pissenisse" was next, complete with chairs that lit up and and fans to wave around. The routine was exhausting. The whole show continued in this vein. She never stopped.

- There were a gazillion costume changes. On average one change for every other song. Sometimes Nanne would change during extended song intros, other times dancers held up a sheet so that we could only see her head, and she would talk away at the audience, before stepping out in a completely different outfit.

- Nanne talked between every song. We couldn't understand what she was on about most of the time but she seemed to be sending herself up a lot. We couldn't understand a word, but it must have been very funny as everyone was laughing...

- The Eurovision and Melodifestivalen references. Nanne performed a history of her Melodifestivalen career, beginning with the two Sound of Music songs. The girls came on in huge fright-wigs to dance along to "Alexandra" while one of the boys dressed up as Peter and banged around on a keyboard behind them. Then there was a joke about Peter's Pop Squad, as Nanne excitedly introduced their song, counting the band in but no-one knew how to play it. She talked about forming One More Time and played "Highland" (complete with dancers dressed in tartan), then "Den Vilda". She also played "Det Vackraste" and bemoaned the fact that it won a Swedish Grammi, gave her massive hits in Sweden and Norway, yet she gave the song to someone else! We were looking forward to a dramatic rendition of "Evig kärlek", but it wasn't to be. "Men" was also denied a place on the set list. "Avundsjuk" was played later as the last song before the encore.

- "Håll om mig" was the final encore and just about the whole audience was up and clapping and singing along.

- The whole thing was camp as Christmas. Nanne played a fab song all about shoes while rolling about on a huge velvet bed while the dancers threw shoe boxes around. Later we got "Ring them bells" in Swedish.

We can't think of any artist in the UK who would put on a show like this. We loved it. Douze points to Nanne. All hail the Schlager Queen!

NB.: We got told off for having a camera with us when we went in so couldn't take any pictures... Oops! So we had to make do with taking photos of the pictures outside Hamburger Börs... hence all the reflections of people doing their shopping in Stockholm...

OH! MY! GOD! It's Nanne!

The Schlagerboys are tired and emotional after a fabulous night seeing Nanne Grönvall at the Hamburger Börs in Stockholm.

We arrived brandishing our e-mail from Nanne's management. After a few worrying moments when the lady at the ticket desk was trying to explain who the Schlagerboys were to someone on the other end of her phone (this wouldn't happen in Malta!), she then said "You've got 5 minutes!" Then we were taken backstage.

The security guard led us past racks of glittery frocks as we headed towards Nanne's dressing room. The room was a tiny, cluttered cupboard just off the stage. Half a dozen red roses from the petrol station lay in their plastic bag next to Nanne's make up box. And there she was! OH! MY! GOD! Sitting on a plastic chair in front of her mirror and a tiny TV, enthusiastically racing cars on a Playstation. Dancers and musicians stood around Nanne making encouraging noises and there was much "Bra! Bra!" as she skillfully roared round corners. No-one took any notice of us so we joined in and made noises about how well she was doing.... it semed the appropriate thing to do!

Then she crashed her car and turned around....Oh My God! It's Nanne with huge hair and big eyes! She's looking at us! She's related to an ABBA! She's been in Eurovision! She sang "Håll om mig"! Oh My God! Quick, which questions shall we ask?

We begin by apologising for the UK televoting public for not voting for "Men" in Song For Europe 2001. Nanne should have been in Copenhagen that year and not Lyndsay D. At least we wouldn't have been worried about Nanne's last note...There's a bemused silence..... erm... we wonder whether she might try again for the UK and whether she was still in touch with songwriter Kimberley Rew? Will he write another song for her?..

Nanne said she hasn't heard from Kimberley for a while. She said she has success singing her Swedish songs now.

Next we ask the most important question, about the "Håll On Mig" disaster in Melodifestivalen 2005. We felt it was a real travesty that she won the televote by a gigantic margin, yet it was Martin Stenmarck who ended up going to Eurovision. We told Nanne that we thought it was hilarious when he came about 58th in Kyiv, so did she laugh at the TV that night in May 2005 when Sweden were relegated to the semi-finals? Nanne replied that Martin was one of her best friends and she was very upset for him.... Ooops....

We moved on quickly... Ermmm... So, can Sweden still win Eurovision, we asked....? Of course so, is Nanne's reply. "I'm positive, a very positive person".....

The 5 minutes is nearly up (and the Martin Stenmarck question had hastened the end of the interview...) so we explained that every year the Schlagerboys give an award for services to schlager to an unsuspecting schlager celebrity. Last year it went to Lord Thomas of G:Son and this year we had decided to award it to Nanne for just being generally schlagertastically fabulous, and for always having huge hair. Nanne looked a bit bemused but held up her certificate for a photo anyway (after checking her fabulous hair in the mirror first)...

And then, after telling Nanne she looked completely fabulous and getting one of her dancers to take a photo of us with her, we headed back past the rows of glittery frocks and to the front of the stage to watch the show (a review will appear on Schlagerblog later) thinking OH! MY! GOD! That was Nanne Grönvall! With her big hair and fabulous nails! What a Schlager Queen! How completely schlagertastic!

Nanne Says Yes!

OH! MY! GOD!

The management has got back to us and said yes!

Finally we can get the truth on the "Las Vegas"/ "Håll Om Mig" debacle, the UK Song For Europe 2001 disaster and those ridiculous "Avundsjuk" pointy ears.

The Schlagerboys are officially excited!

We'll Be Sha-a-king!

The Schlagerboys are reporting live from Stockholm after a night out in Naglo Vodka Bar.

As we walked in "Live Forever" was playing, and the schlager never stopped. It all gets a bit blurry but we definitely remember singing along to "Det Lige Det" and "Vi maler byen rød" in the early hours. At one point we asked the DJ for "Samba Sambero". He laughed... not sure whether he was laughing at us, or with us, but he didn't play the request...

What's more, who should walk past us on her way to the toilet but Gladys Del-Pilar-one-third-of-Afro-Dite! We jumped on her as she emerged, the poor love, and said she looked fabulous and can we have a photo. She stood between us looking a bit shell shocked and then escaped. We wish now we'd asked her to bellow "We'll be sha-a-king!" for us. Oh well!

The Melodifestivalen gossip among the Swedish Schlagerboys and girls is that BWO are probably going to win. But what do they know? We're still holding out for that secret Lord Thomas of G:Son schlager stompathon wildcard sung by Dame Shirley Clamp...

Have A DQ Christmas!

How completely fabulous!

No Key Change Casanova?

Somebody has put the audio snippet of Andorra's Eurovision 2008 entry "Casanova" on Youtube...

The Schlagerboys are certain we can expect fabulous dance routines, lots of strutting around the stage from Gisela and are hoping that possibly a wind-machine or two makes an appearance.... but (sharp intake of breath) there doesn't seem to be a key change!

Come on Andorra! Put a key change in "Casanova" and it'll be Andorra La Vella 2009!

Schlager Scandal in Norway!

NRK have published all the song titles and the song-writers for MGP 2008...

...and there's no Lord Thomas of G:Son! All of the song-writers are Norwegian... oh no!

Perhaps he'll be lending a hand producing one or two of them and adding in the odd key-change here and there...

Here's Lord Thomas is in happier days receiving his Schlagerboys Services to Schlager Award...

Where Are You, Nanne?

The Schlagerboys are still awaiting a response from Nanne's management on our interview request...

Hi Nanne's Management!

It’s the Schlagerboys again! We’ve given up ever meeting Shirley Clamp for an interview… Anyway, we prefer Nanne now…

We’re coming to Stockholm this weekend to see Nanne’s final show at the Hamburger Börs. We’d love to meet up with her for a quick schlager interview before the show.

Let us know if this is possible.

The Schlagerboys x

Don't they realise we're huge celebs in Malta? Maybe Shirley's warned Nanne all about us...

Nanne: Schlager Queen!

The Schlagerboys are very excited. We're off to Stockholm at the weekend to see Nanne Grönvall perform at Hamburger Börs. How fabulous!

It's the last night of Nanne's three month residency at the same venue where we saw Helena Paparizou perfom at the "Biggest Schlager Party Ever" (it wasn't) after Stockholm Pride 2006. Here's an early Schlagerboys effort in filming. Helena singing "The Light In Our Soul", just before we fell over.

The thought of being that close to Nanne is too much. Oh. My. God!

As it's the last night of Nanne's show, we're hoping to bump in to some Schlager royalty. Would it be too much to ask for an ABBA or two? What's Shirley doing on Saturday night? Where's (Mi Amore) Annikafiore these days? The Schlagerboys are practising our cool responses to walking past Linda Bengtzing.

We've asked for an interview, naturally. Unfortunately, Nanne shares the same manager as Shirley. Oh Dear. She used to write one sentence emails back to our requests. One said "Shirley does not normally meet for interviews in a bar. Are you serious journalists?". She clearly never clicked on the link we provided to Schlagerblog.

We've emailed her anyway. Perhaps the Christmas spirit will be alive and well in Stockholm.

Andorra In Schlager Alert!

Schlager alert! Andorra have released a snippet of their song for Eurovision 2008 AND IT'S FAB!

What's more it's sung by Gisela, one of Rosa's backing dancers from 2002. Anyone who sang on "Europe's living a celebration" is a schlager goddess.

How fabulous to have our first proper song and for it to be not a ballad and not crap! It's a sign that the backlash against guitars has arrived! Hurrah!

Sweden, take note!

Take Me To Your Hairspray!

Now that all the artists (apart from the jokers) have been announced for Melodifestivalen 2008, here's what the Schlagerboys are most excited about...
...Charlotte Perrelli's fabulous hair!

Monday, December 10, 2007

Happy Birthday To Us!

The Schlagerboys are two years old today and are celebrating with a run down of the most Schlagertastic moments of our last 12 months!

5. Getting on the front page of Expressen during the run up to Melodifestivalen and saying "The Ark are crap and everyone vote for Anna Book!"

4. Getting on telly, in our "Vertigo" T-shirts, right after the song finishes in the semi-final.

3. Jenny Jenssen saying "The Schlagerboys! Yes!" during her interview in the Norwegian final.

2. Being interviewed on Pjazza during our "Thank you tour of Malta", and dancing along with Olivia Lewis as she sings "Vertigo" right next to us! On live telly!

1. Securing 12 points from Malta for the UK at Eurovision 2007. Viva Malta!

Oh my god what a fabulous year! Can't wait for 2008!

Maybe Shirley's Tomorrow...

How exciting! Mr Björkman revealed the artists for the first two Melodifestivalen heats today. Lots of new names, but let's not forget that in 2003 Shirley Clamp was a new name too!

The Schlagerboys are not afraid of the unknown. In fact, we embrace change!

Nevertheless, there are a few old names to be excited about:

- Christer Sjögren, the lead singer of Vikingarna, singing "I Love Europe".

- Sanna Nielsen's back, back! BACK! Only this time in English and without Fredrik Kempe. "Empty Room" doesn't sound very schlagertastic. And Expressen is quoting her as saying she's gone all ballady on us... Oh my god, Sanna! What on earth do you think you're doing? Scrap all that nonsense about embracing change and get back to the schlager!

- the two funny looking blokes who did backing vocals for Electric Banana Band a couple of years ago are having a go on their own. Oooh! Is that the sound of the bottom of the barrel being scraped?

...erm, that's about it. So let's have a bit of the fabulous Vikingarna...

Danish Delights!

Denmark announced the songs for next year's Dansk Melodi Grand Prix last week. The Schlagerboys are a bit disappointed that there's no sign of Annette Heick and there doesn't appear to be any drag queens in the line up... Where's DQ?

So we've decided to cheer ourselves up with two of Dame Birthe Kjær's schlagertastic entries from the 1980s. Hurrah!

The first is completely fabulous and should have won MGP that year. Unfortunately Trax put a key change in to the first verse of their song so the game was up.

The second is also completely fabulous, but then it was up against the key change car crash that is "En lille melodi"...

Fortunately Dame Birthe came back! back! back! in 1989 to romp to victory with the schlager amthem "Vi maler byen rød ". This run of three fabulous National Final entries gives Birthe an entry in the Schlagerboys' Hall Of Fame under the category, "Artist to never put a schlager-foot wrong"

The Schlagerboys are keeping our fingers crossed that at least one of the 2008 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix songs is half as good as these ...

He's the Wolf of the Sea!

The Schlagerboys are now officially excited about Eurovision 2008 because of "Wolves of the Sea" in the Latvian final... There's only a 30 second clip on-line but we wanted to know more, so we decided to get the gossip from the song-writer Jonas Liberg.

Schlagerboys: "Wolves of the Sea" is completely schlagertastic! You sing on the demo. Will you be singing the song in Eirodziesma 2008?

Jonas Liberg: I will not be singing the song myself because of the rules. We are now looking for a charismatic guy or band or girl and dancers so if you have any suggestions please let us know as soon as possible...

SBs: Well, the Schlagerboys might be free for a trip to Riga... Will the song have a fabulous dance routine involving pirate costumes, jolly roger flags and parrots on shoulders?

JL: Yes guys!!!! It will be a true pirate show with everything from jolly-roger flags, swords and pyro!

SBs: OH! MY! GOD! How completely fabulous! We’ve only heard 30 seconds but we’re hoping it’s got a key change – please tell us it has! And if it hasn’t, will you put one in in time for Eirodziesma 2008?

JL: Of course there is a key change at the end. We are also thinking about having an a capella chorus with only drums just before that...

SBs: We're going to explode with all the excitement! Can't wait to hear the whole song!

JL: I think this song could win the whole shebang in Serbia if it wins in Latvia!!!

SBs: Fabulous! Good luck in Latvia and don't forget that the Schlagerboys could look quite good in pirate outfits!

No Way, Norway!

Some of the song-writers for next year's Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix have leaked...

The lead singer from Wigwam has written a song... and so has some other bloke from Wigwam who wrote the godawful "Wannabe" from Crash last year...

And alledgedly Mira Craig has got a song in it too...

Let's hope Jenny Jenssen is making a comeback too, otherwise the Schlagerboys might be forced to send our tickets for the MGP final back to NRK...

Pirates Are All We Can Be!

How Fabulous!

The Schlagerboys can proudly announce the winner of Eurovision 2008! And it's not even Christmas!

Latvian TV have given us little clips of the songs for Eirodziesma 2008 here.

Most of them are boring. Just play "Wolves of the Sea"....

Great costume potential! The Schlagerboys will be heading straight down the joke shop to get those comedy pirate eye patches and a stuffed parrot...

Schlager Announcement Imminent!

How very exciting! The Schlagerboys have been invited to the press conferences to announce the artists for Melodifestivalen 2008! Yes that right! Press conferences in the plural!

The artists for the first two semis in Göteborg and Västerås will be announced next Monday at 10.00am Swedish time, and the ones for Linköping and Karlskrona will be announced on Tuesday at the same time...

Christer certainly knows how to string all this out and get the Schlagerboys very excited...

Maybe it's all those urgent behind-the-scenes negotiations with Dame Shirley Clamp holding it all up. He's trying to persuade her to sing the secret Lord Thomas of G:Son schlager stompathon that's been added to the line-up at the last minute...

Wednesday, December 05, 2007

A Schlager Travesty!

The nominations for next year's Swedish Grammis have been announced. The list is here.

It's all very well "Cara Mia" being nominated as Song of the Year, Magnus Carlsson and Sanna Nielsen getting a look in for Schlager Album of the Year and Sonja Aldén getting a nomination for Female Artist of the Year, BUT WHERE'S ANNA BOOK?

Surely there should be a category specially created for Completely Fabulous Lord Thomas of G:Son Schlager Stompathon of the Year?

Anna and "Samba Sambero" would be a surefire winner...

Tuesday, December 04, 2007

Maltese Madness!

Malta need to get their priorities right... They've got an election early next year, so the people in charge of the Maltese Song for Europe have been putting off booking a venue in case the date clashes with the election...

It's a schlager crisis in Valetta! Who cares who the next Prime Minister is when there's a Eurovision entry to choose?

Maybe Olivia could volunteer to host in her living room, with a live link up to the Schlagerboys so we can just pick the song for them. No need to bother with any of this televoting malarkey... They'll only end up picking a ballad and who wants one of those when Maltese TV needs to get a bit more use out of the wind-machine, fans and giant tea-towels from the "Vertigo" performance... They do need to justify that licence fee, for goodness sake!

Vote for Shirley and Schlager!

Shirley's starting her Christmas Show this week and she gets to sing a duet with Sarah Dawn Finer... Sounds dreadful...

But Expressen are running a poll to find out who's best between Shirley and Sarah... and when the Schlagerboys voted, Sarah Dawn Finer was in the lead... Oh no!

At least with Shirley we can pretend she might one day see the error of her ways and make a comeback to the blue wraparound skirt, key changes and schlager...

Vote for Shirley here! You know it makes sense!

A Hint Of The Geri Halliwell...

How very exciting! Marlain might be back for Cyprus! But bless her, she's singing a song called "Rejection"... Is it based on her experience in Jerusalem in 1999...?

She'd flown in the entire stock of Nicosia's body glitter and she still managed to come very nearly last... Well, at least the United Kingdom gave Marlain her a couple of points on the night...

Must have been all that repeat dialling from the Schlagerboys' house...
